Complex and curved surfaces are notoriously difficult to document using traditional methods. Point by point measurement of vehicle damage can be a time-consuming task. A laser scan captures the spatial information of complex surfaces quickly and accurately.

Comparing a scan of a damaged vehicle to a scan of an undamaged vehicle of the same make and model can assist when assessing damage for accident reconstruction. In this clip,a coloured deviation map highlights the location and intensity of damage between between two scans of a 2012 Buick Verano.
